How long is each training session?
Our fitness membership programs operate year round, rain or shine. Our format is formulated to maximize your training results while providing for long-term success and injury prevention. Sessions range from 40 minute sessions to 60-minute sessions.
How much does the program cost?
Fitness Revolution is a monthly membership program. Campers are able to choose a 4 or 12-month commitment at a membership level that best caters to their schedule, goals and budget. Please note the big savings on our group training package offerings are provided to clients who invest in a 12-month commitment. Memberships range between $109 to $199 per month. We offer a family discount, police/fire/1st responder discount, and a corporate discount to NVUSD employees.
We also offer semi private training in groups of 4 people or one-on-one personal training if you are wanting more than a large group training experience and we may recommend one of these options to you if you need more attention or have special circumstances.
Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It’s part of the process that lets you improve! The key to keeping the soreness at bay is consistency – coming everyday and changing your intensity and your load. The best solution for soreness from exercise is more exercise just toned down.
What kinds of people train in this program?
They are people just like you. Someone that has tried everything else and still hasn’t found what they are looking for. Moms, dads, busy executives, police, fire, athletes, grandparents, military, teens, fit, not so fit and many more. We all have one thing in common, we want to Move Better, Look Better and Feel Better.
What is a typical training session like?
That’s difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope. On some days, you may use bands, kettlebells, battle ropes, TRX and more. It’s always an adventure, and you’ll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and safe technique. We spend about 10 minutes doing self myofascial release with the foam roller, approximately 5-10 minutes of corrective exercise and activation warm up (based on your personal needs), 30-35 minutes skill building and working out and 5-10 minutes stretching.
How soon will I see results?
What is your level of commitment? How much are you willing to change your nutrition and form new healthier habits? We have clients see results in as little as one week but we encourage the intention of making lifestyle changes and getting results forever.
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. “Visual Improvement” can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It’s becoming common to see our clients go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first 8-weeks . Remember, everyone is different!
What do I bring to each session?
Each client is expected to bring the following items to each workout:
- Water (sugary sports drinks and flavored waters do not help with your fat loss)
- Your own exercise mat
- Your own dumbbells. (We recommend women start with 5-8 pounds and men 10-15 pounds.)
- A foam roller, tennis ball, and/or massage stick (we have high quality foam rollers available for only $20)
What do I wear to class?
You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing. Please make sure to wear clothing that is not too big- we need to see your body move at different joint positions during the workout so we can best assess your form and technique and make the necessary corrections.
In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes- often referred to as running or cross-training shoes. (As a member you will receive a 15% discount coupon for the Napa Running Company) Please feel free to ask your on-site trainer for his/her recommendations for proper footwear for boot camp workouts.
What time should I arrive?
Each session the coach will arrive on location 15 minutes before the official start of the workout. Campers are expected to use this time to go through their own personal improvement routine. This is also time to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.
Please know that our main focus is keeping our campers safe and healthy. Thus, each class begins with a complete, state-of-the-art warm-up emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted injury and to allow for a more effective workout. Thus, late arrivals will not be allowed to workout without a proper warm-up. Campers who are chronically tardy will be subject to membership suspension or termination on a case-by-case basis.
Does each session end right on time?
Yes. We start on time and end on time. Each session your coach will remain for up to 15 minutes past the official end of each workout to address any remaining personal questions or concerns.
Clients are also highly encouraged to use this time to perform their post-workout routine consisting of corrective stretching and self-massage to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts. However, this program caters to busy professionals, and we do understand if you need to leave immediately at the end of each workout. In this case, clients are expected to perform their post-workout routines in the last 10 minutes of the session.
How do I receive updates, emails, etc?
All clients will be provided with an orientation checklist at the initial new member orientation and we will also email you a welcome letter. Your name will be automatically added to our email list so that you will receive all program updates. We usually update 1 time per week. We also provide many of our updates on our Facebook Business Page and our Private Members Only Facebook Group
How does nutrition factor into the program?
Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. We have partnered with Whole 9 and each member is supplied with the Whole 9 Nutrition Guide.
Once you become a member, you will be eligible for our a one-on-one nutrition consult, goal setting and measurements with our Certified Nutrition Coach. We also hold regular Nutrition classes where we will explain the tenets of sound nutrition for optimal health, performance, and body composition.
Members also will be provided with lots and lots of recipes and lots of support to make these changes sustainable and new lifelong habits.
